How It Works
1. Drop
Place your used household batteries into the BatteryNest Tree.2. Tape (If Needed)
Most common alkaline batteries do not require taping. Easy-to-follow guidance and pre-cut dot stickers are provided onsite for any batteries that do need taping.
If a battery is swollen, leaking, or damaged, please place it in a sealed bag at home before dropping it off (no taping needed).3. Collect
BatteryNest performs routine pickups.4. Recycle
All collected batteries are delivered to a certified recycling facility for safe, responsible processing.
Accepted Batteries
BatteryNest accepts common household batteries. Taping guidance and dot stickers are provided onsite.No Taping Needed
These go directly into the drop box.

BatteryNest partners with a wide range of locations — including public-facing spaces (e.g. libraries, schools, churches, community centers, local businesses, and government offices) as well as corporate workplaces that want to offer convenient recycling for employees.Hosting a BatteryNest Tree is a simple way to support safe, responsible battery recycling and make an immediate impact in your community.What hosts provide:
